Why are arcade machines so big?

The height of the frame is related to usage habits.

Most arcade machines in the United States are designed for standing play, so the height of the joystick table is mostly between 35″-40″.

Too high or too short will cause rapid wrist fatigue.

In addition to the height of the monitor and the head-up (Marquee), the total height of the frame is mostly 65″-80″.

The Japanese version of the arcade is basically for sitting and entertaining, so the size can be a bit shorter than the American version:
